Arthur “Bob” R. Engel, age 85, of Ligonier. Born on April 16, 1939, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2024.
A proud graduate of Jeannette High School, Arthur dedicated much of his professional life to his role at Ellicott Co in Jeanette, Pennsylvania, where he worked in the office. His commitment to service was further exemplified during his military career as a veteran of the United States Army Reserves, a role that he held with honor and pride.
Arthur was not only devoted to his work but also to his family, who were central to his life. He cherished his role as a beloved cousin to Judith Fundis, Diane (Jim) DeLuca, and Janice New. Additionally, he was a cherished uncle to his nephews, James and Scott, who brought him a great deal of joy.
In his personal life, Arthur had many interests and hobbies that reflected his vibrant spirit. He was passionate about needlepoint crafts. During his younger years he was an excellent dancer. He loved listing to music, especially the oldies, which infused his life with nostalgia and joy. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino, where he relished the thrill of chance.
Arthur Engel’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared with those around him. He is remembered not just for his professional accomplishments, but also for the warmth he brought to his family and friends throughout his life.
