Carol Lee Carnahan Lynn of Ligonier, Pa. formally of McKeesport and White Oak, Pa. 

Carol was the youngest child of Mildred Ruth Higgins Hyde Carnahan and Elmer Grant Carnahan. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Glenn Eugene Lynn Sr. and her wonderful youngest son Kirk Douglas Lynn, who was killed on Sept. 8, 1994 in a USAir plane crash that was landing at the Pittsburgh International Airport along with 132 passengers and crew. She leaves behind her wonderful daughter Kelly Leayne Perrin and her husband Dave Perrin Sr. and their four children David Jr. wife Kaitlyn, Derek wife Billie Jo, Daren wife Megan and Danielle husband Ty. She has a great son Glenn E. Lynn Jr. and three children Misty Pieffer husband Bill, Joseph Lynn and Miranda Lynn. She is very proud of her great grandchildren Cammeron, Jude, Sparrow, Connor, Ella, Sloan, Will, Isabella, Cooper and Julian. Carol had a very loving friend for 58 years, Lois Eileen Luptak. 

Carol was always very active being Vice President of her Senior Class in 1955, choir member, head majorette at McKeesport High School Band where she graduated in 1955. She also spent many years as a band parent for her children at McKeesport High School. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was on the church council as President, property committee chair, choir member, social committee and alter guild. She helped lead the blood drives at St. James. She was a volunteer for several years with Meals on Wheels in Ligonier. She also attended the YMCA regularly. 

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at 11 AM at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church 300 W. Main St. Ligonier Pa 15658. A funeral luncheon will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial in Ligonier Valley Cemetery will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Snyder-Green Funeral Home Ligonier, Pa.
