Carol Ann Young

Carol Ann Young 82, of Ligonier died on September 3, 2021. She was born March 1, 1939 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Hazel and Kenneth Moore of Lincoln Ave. where she was raised. After graduating from Westinghouse High School, where she was voted Sketch Book Queen in 1957, she worked for the Pittsburgh Board of Education. She was followed by two sisters Donna (Bob) and Linda (Jim). Carol married Dale Albert Young in 1962. They were blessed with three sons Dale (Susan), Douglas (Kathy) and Matthew (Lisa). She enjoyed growing flowers, cooking family dinners on holidays, her cats and vacationing winters in South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna and son Matthew. She is survived by her husband Dale, sons Dale and Douglas and her granddaughters Kayla, Sidney and grandson Nolan whom she absolutely adored. They were loved so very much by Carol. Carol’s greatest pride was her three sons.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home Inc. 402 East Church St. Ligonier 724-238-2611 Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M.
