Christopher Kenneth Plummer passed away January 9, 2024.
The only child of Ken and Sherri Plummer, Chris was born September 26, 1973, in State College, PA. He enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Chambersburg and graduated Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1992. He loved to play baseball and was the second baseman for the first Chambersburg Suburban Team to play in the Pony League World Series in 1988.
Chris graduated Lebanon Valley College in 1997 and began his career in the hospitality industry at White Tail Ski Resort. He continued at Hidden Valley and then Sierra Ski Ranch and Caesar’s Casino in Lake Tahoe and Nemacolin Woodlands in Pennsylvania.. Along the way, he married the love of his life, Eileen Rossman, and gained four brothers and sisters-in-law as well as their parents, Genevra and Dr. Morris Rossman.
After the birth of their twins, Nolan and Zoe, Chris and Eileen moved back to Pa where he was currently employed by Vail Seven Springs as Director of Marketing and Group Sales.
Chris is survived by his parents, his wife, Eileen, and his beloved twin children Zoe and Nolan who are seniors at Ligonier Valley High School. There are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws who were an integral part of his life.
Chris will be remembered as a kind, hard-working, accepting, generous, loving son, husband, father, and friend. He loved to ski, golf, and spend time at the shore. No one loved a party more than Chris and he and Eileen have a large and devoted group of friends who will miss him terribly. He was a huge Grateful Dead fan AKA Dead Head and loved traveling all over the world to jam to Widespread Panic.
Services will be held at Snyder-Green Funeral Home; 402 E. Church St.; Ligonier, PA on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10 to 12 and 2 to 4.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Friendship Park Sports Complex with checks made out to the Borough of Ligonier, 120 E Main St.; Ligonier, PA 15658 to provide safe activities for youth in the town where his kids grew up. Please list Friendship Park Sports Complex in Memory of Chris Plummer in the memo line on the check.
Chris was an amazing man whose soul will live on in his children as they reflect his character and life achievements.
