It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Hunter McCoy Fitchko, 28 of Ligonier, on February 17, 2022.

Beloved son of Michelle (Scott) Lazur and the late Michael G. Fitchko;

Loving brother of Autumn (Ryan) Marcoz, Gabhriel (James III) Bridge, Graham (Larissa) Fitchko and Ramsey (Julie) Fitchko; Cherished uncle of Nolan Marcoz, James Bridge IV and Madelyn Bridge;

Grandson of Rose Kuhns and the late Willis A. Kuhns, M. Hearty Fitchko and Mary Graham Fitchko; Step-grandson of Constance (John) Moore and the late Ronald Lazur Sr.

Nephew of Marcy Myers, Susan Fitchko (Allan), Marsha Clark, Thomas Myers and the late Michael W. Kuhns and Robert M. Clark; Cousin of Leslie (Marc) Hogue, Cortney Myers and Jacob Myers;

Survived as well by many loving "aunts", "uncles", cousins, and cherished friends.

Hunter was employed by City Brewery, Latrobe. He loved hiking in the Laurel Mountains and music most of all, finding solace in nature and the poetry of music.

Hunter had a way of making everyone feel fully accepted and was a friend to all. He will be remembered as being bright, philosophical, empathetic, kind, quick to debate, and stubborn. He had extensive knowledge of the Bible and loved to debate its teachings. Above all else, he will be remembered for his warm hugs, smile, and ability to find humor in any situation - even if that meant he dropped a few puns or  "dad" jokes.

In his youth, Hunter was known for being sensitive, imaginative and beautifully artistic. The artwork he created for loved ones is still cherished and enjoyed.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 25 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Snyder - Green Funeral Home, 402 E. Church Street Ligonier. We welcome friends and family to join us in a Celebration of Hunter's Life to be held at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 26 at 10am. Internment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations are appreciated to help defray Hunter's final expenses.
