Joanne Filson

On Tuesday, April 18, Joanne L. Filson, age 74, of Ligonier, passed away surrounded by her loving brother and friends. Joanne, formerly of Glassport, was born on September 19, 1948 in McKeesport, PA to the late Giuseppe and Louise (Norelli) Massaro. Joanne leaves behind a loving husband, Duane Filson, and a brother, Tony (the late Cindy) Massaro. Joanne also leaves behind four nephews: Matthew & Anthony "Chip" (Aleasha) Massaro; John Michael and Justin Filson. Joanne filled the world with kindness and grace and wanted nothing more than for everyone to be happy. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Joanne was a proud member of the American Legion #267 of Ligonier. She also loved tending to her well-manicured yard and beautiful flowers. Joanne loved music and let it transcend all aspects of her life.

Family and friends will be received Monday, April 24 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home, 402 East Church Street, Ligonier, 15658 with a funeral service to be held at the funeral home at 7:00PM.
