John C. Naugle Jr.

John C. Naugle Jr., 75, of Ligonier, PA, passed away suddenly Friday evening, August 7, 2026.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Betty Naugle, and his grandparents, Minta and John Naugle and Hattie and L.B. Jenkins. John is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Naugle; his daughters Erin Scozzafava (Brian) of Connecticut and Stacey Carlson (Jeff) of Virginia; and his grandkids, Lily and Liam Scozzafava and Zach, Annie, and Eric Carlson. He also leaves behind his siblings, Connie Oluszak, Pattie Markovic, and Tom Naugle.
John started his career in the semiconductor industry before becoming a high school science teacher for 25 years in Waterbury, CT. Once retired, he settled into his daily routines which usually involved an early morning swim at the YMCA and an afternoon nap. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, skiing, and scuba diving. He earned his bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity, and his master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University.
John’s memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, at 11:00 am at the Ligonier Valley Cemetery, located at 105 Nicely Road, Ligonier, PA 15658. Upon entering the cemetery, continue past the first building and proceed to the chapel at the top of the hill beside the columbarium. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at The Barn at Ligonier Valley, located at 1 Springer Rd, Ligonier, PA 15658.
