John Williams

John Alan Williams, 65, of Ligonier, PA, passed away on June 20, 2024. He was born on February 17, 1959. John was known for his gentle and kind nature. He was born into a musical family and had the gift of music in him. He graduated from the Mt. Aloysius College Piano Technology Program and worked his craft as a Professional Piano Technician for 45 years doing business as John Williams Piano Service. John was proudly a member and past president of the Pittsburgh Piano Technicians Guild. He also served as the Choir Director at Covenant Presbyterian Church for 12 years, sharing his love for God through music. His dedication to family was unwavering; never missing important events or milestones in the lives of his children. One of his recent and greatest joys was his beloved grandchild, Hazel Quinn Campbell (Abby & Luke). John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kimberly Reese Williams, his children Abigail (Luke) Campbell, and Austin Williams. John also leaves behind two brothers William (Lynne) Williams & David (Tammy) Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Leah Williams, of Johnstown. A memorial service will be held at Westmont Presbyterian Church, Johnstown, PA, on June 29, at 3:00 pm; immediately followed by a Celebration of Life event at The Ridge (also in Johnstown, route 271). John will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and music will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched.
