Loretta M. Grimm, 76, a beloved soul known for her love of family, caring nature and passion for gardening and cooking, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Latrobe. She was born Nov. 3, 1947, in Ligonier, and she was the loving wife of the late Victor Grimm Sr.
Loretta was the loving mother of Victor (JoAnn) Grimm and Jim (Rebecca) Grimm. She will be deeply missed as the cherished grandmother of Brandon (Brenna) Grimm, Walter (Sydney) Brisky, Devin (Caitlyn) Grimm, Angela Polinsky, Garrett Grimm, Alexis Grimm and Jacob Brisky. Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren, Riley, Gracie, Adalynn, Bentley and Benjamin.
She was a daughter of the late Emory and Betty (Ritenour) McKlveen and sister of the late Randy McKlveen and Vickey (Brian) Dalton. Loretta is survived by her loving siblings Edward (LouAnn) McKlveen, Darlene (Larry) Menear, Terry (Jackie) McKlveen, Scott (Tiffany) McKlveen and Todd McKlveen; several nieces and nephews, and dearest friends, Bob and Connie Hauer.
Throughout her life, Loretta prioritized her family above all else. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her love for gardening and flowers brought her joy, and she delighted in cooking meals for her loved ones, especially her famous Jell-O salad and mac and cheese.
In honoring Loretta’s memory and the light she brought to those around her, let us remember her fondly and carry forward the love she so generously shared with everyone she met.
Loretta’s life will be commemorated with visitation services 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, in Snyder-Green Funeral Home Inc., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier. A funeral service will follow 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, in the funeral home.
