Maxine Larouere, who was born on July 1, 1938, passed away on September 7, 2026.
Maxine will be remembered as a woman who took pride in the simple and meaningful parts of life. She was a member of the National Honor Society during high school and attended Lincoln High School in Elwood City, Pennsylvania. Throughout her life, she loved working with flowers, gardening, caring for her home, and crafting. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the nursing home. She was married to her husband for more than 44 years, a reflection of the lasting commitment and devotion that marked an important part of her life.
She is survived by her precious daughter, Tammy; her cousin, Rosemary Carver, whose family included her late husband, Lloyd Carver; and her brother-in-law, Blair Larouere. Those who knew Maxine will remember the warmth she brought to her home and the care she gave to the things and people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Bartley; her mother, Christina Bartley; and her brother-in-law, Bill Larouere.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff for their loving support and care for Maxine at Bethlen Home Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
