Randolf "Randy" Russell Whiteside

Randolf “Randy” Russell Whiteside, age 66, of Ligonier passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Born July 7, 1959 in Circleville, OH, he was the son of William Russell Whiteside and Hazel Frances (Hogancamp) Watkins. He grew up in Ligonier, Pennsylvania where he was raised by Hazel F. and Lynn J. Watkins. He was married to and gave his heart to Deborah (Duran) Whiteside.

Randy was a graduate of Ligonier High School, Class of 1977. After spending much of his life managing restaurants in Texas, he returned home to Ligonier in 2015. He was a dedicated worker who lived his life on his own terms, always finding time to enjoy the simple pleasures of fishing, reading, and engaging in a deep conversation on world events.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Krystal (Jay) Owens; granddaughters, Bailey, Lilly, and Julia Owens; and brothers, Bill (Stephanie) Whiteside and Gary (Kathy) Watkins.
