Richard Lindsay

Richard A. Lindsay, of Ligonier, passed away August 19, 2021, at his home.

He was born in 1948, in New Kensington, PA, the son of the late Bertram and Pauline Lindsay.

Richard served in the US Navy and was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.  Dedicated and gifted in his craft, he finished his 38-year career at Rolling Rock Club as Executive Chef, where he was admired and respected by all.

He was a talented artist and skilled craftsman who built his family’s home.  He will be remembered as a patient, kind, and giving man, who worked hard, and put care into everything he did.

Richard is survived by his wife, Cordelia Gallo Lindsay; daughters, Andrea Lindsay and Emily Lindsay and husband, Brian Engel; two grandsons, Tommy and Silvio; and sister, Margaret Juart.

Friends will be welcomed to visit with the family and share memories at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home, Inc., 402 E. Church Street, Ligonier, on Friday, August 27, from 3 – 4:30 pm.
