Robert Lee “Bob” Cramer, 72, of Stahlstown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Excela Health Frick Hospital.
Born January 1, 1949, in Stahlstown (Cook Township), the son of the late William and Twila (Queer) Cramer.
Bob graduated from Ligonier Valley High School, class of 1967. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After his honorable discharge from the military, he worked faithfully as a salesman for Gateway Fasteners for 35 years. Bob never met a stranger, he only met friends, and enjoyed striking up a conversation with anyone he met along his travels.
Bob loved bowling and was a member of the Country Swingers bowling league. He was also a baseball fan, especially rooting for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Thirty-five years ago, he met Janet Kestner, who became his best friend and longtime companion. Also surviving are his children, Adam (Jennifer) Cramer, of Mt. Vernon, OH and LeaAnn Coffman, of Uniontown, PA; three grandchildren, Skylar Coffman, Zachary Cramer, and Eleanor Cramer; and a wealth of extended family and loved ones.
Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm, on Sunday, August 22, 2021, in the Snyder-Green Funeral Home, 402 E. Church Street, Ligonier. Where a service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11 am. Interment to follow in Stahlstown Cemetery.
