Ronald Barbus

Ronald "Ron" Andrew Barbus, 65, of Ligonier PA, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024 at Montefiore hospital in Pittsburgh PA. He was a proud Marine who served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years, including 1 year in Okinawa Japan. Ron was also dedicated to his race team and enjoyed working on his son's race car in the pits and in the garage at home with his family. Mentoring and teaching the young boys in the garage on the race car brought him much joy. His hobbies included being a part of the race team and his extensive knowledge on old cars especially MOPARS. Ron will be deeply missed by his children, son Shawn (wife Stacie), and daughters Christie and Tawnee, as well as his grandchildren Sarah (husband Robert), Audrey, Wyatt, Kinley, McCoy, and Alayley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Barbus and his parents Father: Andrew Barbus, Mother: Mary Lou Barbus. Ron was known for being a strong and loving parent and grandparent. He cherished his time in the Marines and always spoke fondly of his service to his country. The Snyder-Green Funeral Home in Ligonier, PA, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
