Sue R. Kinsey

 Sue R. Kinsey of Ligonier passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in her home filled with family and friends.

Sue fought her battle with ovarian cancer as she lived her life, with immense faith, a focused determination, an abundance of love, and a deep concern and appreciation for everyone around her.

To have known Sue was to understand gentleness, compassion and warmth. In her presence you could feel her bright eyes and sense her smile deep in your soul. She was an amazing, caring person and will be greatly missed.

Sue is survived by her loving Husband Kris; Son, Michael Hart (Ashley Forbes); Mother, Lori Derk; Brothers, Jim (Laurie) Derk; Keith (Marie) Derk; Sister in law, Debra (Phillip) Ott; Nieces, Nichole (Riley) Enberg, Alysa (Adam) Davis; Jennifer Knopsnyder (Bob), Jamie (Jeff) Price, Stephanie (Brian) Reighard; Alyssa (Kevin) Mulhollen; Olivia Ott and Megan Ott. A nephew Joshua (Rhiannon) Derk. 

Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous great nieces and nephews. As well as extended families and innumerable friends.

Sue was proceeded in death by her father James Derk Sr; In-laws, Jack and Marian Kinsey and brother in law, Tim Kinsey

A special thank you and appreciation to Sues extensive group of care givers, the Excela Home Health/Hospice team, the Mountain View Cancer Center personnel and the multiple churches, groups and individuals that tirelessly raised Sue up in prayer.

Friends received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Snyder-Green Funeral Home 402 E. Church St. Ligonier 724-238-2611 Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. in the Ligonier Church of the Brethren.  A private family burial in Ligonier Valley Cemetery will follow.
