Thomas P. Sleasman

Loving husband and father Thomas P. Sleasman, 52 of Ligonier, went home to his final resting place on Sunday April 3, 2022. Tom was born November 5, 1969, in Latrobe, PA to the late Emerson J. Sleasman and Martha Grace Burkholder. He was a 1988 graduate of Ligonier Valley High School. He then opened Tom Sleasman Mechanical, an HVAC business serving Ligonier, Latrobe, and the surrounding area. An avid outdoorsman and car fanatic, Tom lived a full life of hunting, fishing, shooting, drag racing, and tending to his classic cars (all Mopars, of course.) All of those who were blessed to have Tom in their lives know how selfless and caring of a man he truly was. He was passionate about caring for our veterans and helped to organize the Veterans Anything with Wheels car shows to benefit Pennsylvania veterans. Tom was preceded in death by his father Emerson J. Sleasman; his brother, Daniel R. Sleasman; sister Dorothy Faye Sleasman, stepsiblings Tim, Gene, Russ and Marjory Burkholder; and numerous uncles and aunts. He is survived by his devoted wife and soulmate of 30 years, Martha "Marty" (Robertson) Sleasman; his loving children, Kelsey E. Sleasman, and Thomas B. Sleasman, among many unofficially adopted children; his mother Marth Grace Burkholder; two brothers, George "Lage" and Grover J. "Dodie" Sleasman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Arthur J. (Pam) Robertson, Brian (Tanya) Spangler, Mary Kathrine(Dan) Luther, Paula (Richard) Stemmerich, Terry (Janean) Kallman, and Thomas Robertson; several nieces and nephews; and countless additional family and friends from all over. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 7th from 6-9 pm, Friday April 8th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, and Saturday April 9 from 10-11am at Snyder-Green Funeral Home, 402 E Church St., Ligonier. The burial service will take place at 12:30 pm on Saturday April 9 at Snowball Cemetery, 1447-1455 State Route 381, Stahlstown. Rev. Dr. J. Paul McCracken will be officiating.

A Celebration of Life will follow at Cook Township Community Center, 1714 State Route 711, Stahlstown around 2pm. The family invites guests to all services in casual clothes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Tom's memory be made to Snyder-Green Funeral Home.
