Timothy Joseph Purdy

Timothy Joseph Purdy , 74, of Ligonier, PA passed from this world, at home, home on July 28th, 2026 after a courageous and inspiring cancer journey. He was born on August 26th, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI to Dale B and Eunice (Sweeney) Purdy. He grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin with his four siblings.

He loved being a political consultant and raising money for causes he believed in and he also enjoyed sales of any kind, providing the product would add value to quality of life. Most of all, he loved those brought into his life by the Heavenly Father.

Tim lived his life out loud. His favorite things to do were to exercise, sing, fish, play video games, and travel to visit family. Tim was all heart and unpredictable at times. He would openly share his love and understanding of the Heavenly Father. He made an impact on everyone he met. He would tell you to embrace your journey, to face your fears, and to love those the Heavenly Father gave to you.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years – Letitia ‘Tish’ Berkey- his son and daughter in law – Dale and Rose (Ginder) Purdy and his daughter and son-in-law –Stephanie and Jeffrey Lindeman. Six grandchildren –Russell, Emmett, and Oliver Purdy, Alexis (Trent) Crouse, Curtis (Makenzie) Lindeman, and Norine Lindeman – and two great-grandsons - Delcan and Lane Crouse, and several nephews and nieces. There are many others brought into his life who he treasured as well. You know who you are!

Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time, however a memorial walk may be planned in the future to celebrate his life and legacy.
