William Telford

William E. Telford, age 83, of Ligonier passed away December 18, 2023 at home. Bill was born September 20, 1940 in Ligonier to Samuel and Sarah (Bier) Telford. Bill's life was one that was filled with joy, love, and a deep appreciation for nature.He is survived by his wife of 59 years Clara Jane (Roadman) Telford; 3 sons: Michael (Lisa) Telford, mark (Theresa) Telford and Dean Telford.

Beloved grandfather of Scott (Amber King) , Amanda Telford (Adam Cessna) , Caitlyn (Devin) Grimm, Megan (Justin) Bacco, Nathan ( Cassandra King)  and Nick Telford.

Cherished great grandfather of Ashton, Emma, Tucker, Levi, Sadie, Gracie, Bentley, Riley, Brynleigh and Blake.

Brother of Larry, Joe (Peggy) Clara (Earl) McMaster.

As an esteemed member of the community for many years before retirement, Bill worked diligently at Florence Mining Company and Idlewild Park. It was through these roles that he touched the lives of countless individuals. Bill's dedication to his work was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Deeply rooted in faith and spirituality as a member of Kreger Community Church, Bill found solace and strength within his religious community. His devotion to his church was a testament to his unwavering belief in the power of love, kindness, and compassion.

Bill's love for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his life. He found solace in nature, spending countless hours hunting and fishing in the serene landscapes that brought him inner peace. Another avid pastime of Bill's was completing search word puzzles, which challenged his intellectual curiosity and provided ample entertainment throughout the years.

More than anything, Bill will be remembered as a loving husband, a dedicated father, an adoring grandfather, and a cherished friend. His compassionate nature, warm smile, and genuine love for others were apparent to all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him during his remarkable life.

While we mourn the loss of William Telford from our earthly lives, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through the memories we hold dear. May his soul rest in eternal peace as we celebrate the remarkable life he led and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
